classes are offered solely to meet NCBTMB, AMTA and ABMP requirements.
Check with your state to see if the class can apply to their requirements.
Organizations
American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) (accepted provider)
Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) (accepted provider)
National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) (approved provider)
If your state is not listed here, please check with your state. While I strive to keep state requirements shown here up to date, Arizona (accepted provider for 12 hours by correspondence)
California (Registered institution; massage is not state licensed in California. The school has signed the AB1525 agreement.)
Connecticut (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes up to 6 hours by correspondence)
Delaware (Ethics One only. Delaware accepts either 6 or 3 hours--see state law here for your situation.)
Florida (provider number 50-8479) (Exception: some classes are not approved in Florida and this is noted on the registration page.)
Georgia (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
Kentucky (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
Maryland (approved provider)
Missouri does not approve particular providers
Nevada (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
New Hampshire (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
New Mexico (accepts NCBTMB-approved 4 hours ethics by correspondence--check with massage board for restrictions, if any, on other correspondence courses)
North Carolina (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes up to 12 hours by correspondence after your first renewal. For your first renewal, you are limited to 6 hours by correspondence. Read the rule here.)
Oregon does not approve providers but accepts classes that further knowledge of massage and business
South Carolina (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
South Dakota (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes up to 4 hours by home study)
Tennessee (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
Virginia (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
Washington does not approve any CE courses or providers. Instead the state leaves it up to the practitioner to deem any courses they take are applicable to Washington laws.
West Virginia (accepts NCBTMB-approved classes)
